We need to create a one page document that we can circulate to Congressional offices to solicit their involvement in the development of the platform.

Contents

To be done

  • Settle on a name - HelloCongress? CongressConnect?
    • Is this appropriately attractive to Congressional offices?
    • If we have separate websites for different branches/levels of governments, will we be able to connect them sufficiently on the back-end?
    • Single site and potentially different sections of that one site, finding ways to avoid the silohs of information.
      • Set-up/decide what current installation of NationBuilder we can send offices to from the One Pager
    • It should be easy for them to interact with and see immediate benefit
  • Figure out screenshots
    • What will show them the utility most readily
  • Walk them through the process
    • If you are a congressperson what will the site do and how (value)
    • If you are a citizen what will the site do and why would I visit.

Miscellaneous Draft Text

Email, fax, phone calls, personal visits, web forms, twitter, facebook, youtube, myspace. How many ways do you need to communicate with your constituents? How are you aggregating and staying on top of all of that?

What are we doing?

We're developing a free, web-based communication platform so you can better understand your constituents and engage them in meaningful dialogue.

To ensure that we are effectively meeting the needs of Congressional offices, we are looking to partner with a select number of offices that are working on the cutting edge of social technologies.

We are building on the NationBuilder platform and expect to have a functional beta by the middle of September.
